Cute isn’t a word that I use a lot to describe cemetery monuments, but once in a while it’s the right one.
I find it impossible not to smile at this pair of headstones, with their rhyming nicknames on top. (I managed to find their names in the Necrology file the Cleveland Public Library has and determine that Ollie’s real name was Olive.) But if the rhyming names don’t soften your heart, there’s the phrase “wee wifie of Allen M. Leach.”
A Grave Concern
