I almost put this stone up as a wordless Wednesday post, but even as it tells a story, it leaves a lot of questions. I’m guessing that Ms. Sanderson was a servant of some kind whose monument was erected by her lifelong employers, but without more information I can’t be sure. It’s just a guess based on how few other situations could lead to such an epitaph.
