This past weekend, we got to visit Spring Grove Cemetery and Arboretum in Cincinnati, Ohio. We walked around for about two hours, and saw just a fraction of the whole cemetery. According to the website, Spring Grove is the second largest cemetery in the United States and was among the first of the garden-style cemeteries that became popular in the latter half of the 19th century. The first interment was in 1845. The cemetery sprawls across acres of rolling hills, dotted with obelisks and statues soaring heavenward. The section we visited features two small lakes.
