Euclid Cemetery contains the graves of 5 soldiers from the Revolutionary War high on the hillside.
Four of the five tombstones are the corners of a square, and then John Crosier’s elevated tombstone sits in the center. All five have been replaced recently.

Any idea why Crosier’s marker was at the center? Did the others serve under him?

I don’t have an official explanation of why Crosier’s memorial is higher. They served in different units in different colonies, and he wasn’t the only officer. I’m wondering if it is because he was at Lexington and therefore at the first battle of the war.
